Tanzania’s gospel singer Rose Muhando has been hospitalized.
Ms Muhando has been going through a rough patch with a video surfacing online of Neno Evangelism Centre, Pastor James Ng’ang’a ridding her of demons.
According to her representative, Daud Mashimo is admitted at a Kenyan hospital after her condition deteriorated.
“She needs to be closely monitored and taken care of by her relatives, who are in Tanzania. We all know that she only went to Kenya for work-related engagements; Tanzania is where she belongs. And, honestly speaking, the [Tanzanian] Government needs to help her secure a return to the country. She has asked me to appeal to the State on her behalf. Up to now, she is still hospitalised in Kenya,” Mashimo told Global Publishers.
Earlier reports indicated that the “Nibebe” crooner’s stay in Kenya was being financed by fellow gospel artist from the Kamba region, Stephen Kasolo.
But Mr Kasolo has since stated that while it is true that she was in his care, her family has since taken her away.
She has asked Tanzanians to pray for her through the tough times.
“Rose Muhando has also requested Tanzanians to pray for her during this hard time. She hopes to fully recover and bounce back bigger and bolder in the music industry,” he continued.
She has in the past been accused of abusing drugs such as cocaine and herione. She has blamed her woes on her former manager.
